Jay-Z will take over New York City’s famed Times Square for a performance on July 8. As part of his innovative Magna Carter Holy Grail promotion, the rapper turned mogul will thrill fans with a free concert atop the Ed Sullivan Theater, just north of the tourist area and home to The David Letterman Show.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg initially denied Jay-Z permission to perform at the same spot three years ago due to safety regulations.
Earlier today (July 1 ), the innovator unveiled the Magna Carter Holy Grail album cover (above). And like his “brother” Kanye West, the Roc Nation President opts for a minimalist approach to the artwork.
