America is still reeling over the outcome of George Zimmerman‘s criminal trial for the killing of Trayvon Martin. Although most media outlets remain unbiased as they report on the “surprising” news, NY’s Daily News let their voices be heard when they put an empty black hoodie on their July 15 cover with the names of slain black men in front of it. Captioned with “When Will It End?” at the bottom of the page, we’re now forced to realize that the idea of a “post racial America” is hard- even with a black president.
