Good sales come in all shapes and sizes (and prices), but would you ever buy a fake nail for $12,000? Sound crazy? We couldn’t make this up if we tried. An acrylic nail from Lada Gaga’s “monster claw” was recently auctioned for that hefty price. Apparently the embellished nail was hand painted by Gaga’s personal manicurist Aya Fukuda for her “The Born This Way Ball” tour stop in Dublin.
“I noticed an object on the floor of the stage, which at first I thought was a guitar plectrum,” said the crew member who noticed the nail. “When I picked it up, I saw it was an acrylic nail.”
The lucky winner will receive a prize package including an Aviva Stadium staff handbook, an event crew wristband, a gray t-shirt worn by the crew during the tour and images of Gaga rocking the nails in both Dublin and New York.
