Chris Rock credits himself as writer, director, and lead in his new film, Finally Famous.
In it, Rock stars as a recovering alcoholic and comedian-turned-film-star who works on reinventing himself as a serious actor. His leading lady, Gabrielle Union will play his fiancée who helps him get sober. She has an underlying plan to become more famous by trying to convince her soon-to-be hubby to get hitched on national TV. Does any of this sound familiar to our reality stars and entertainers battling substance abuse?
Rosario Dawson also penned a deal to star as a former party girl turned New York Magazine journalist who is signed to interview Rock. Although she is in a committed relationship, a deep attraction forms between Dawson and the I Think I Love My Wife characters.
Kevin Hart, JB Smoove, and Sherri Shepard will add their comedic value to this Scott Rudin film that’s set to start shooting this summer.
