According to EurWeb, BET Networks will add two new reality shows to its fall line up. “Hip Hop Sisters” will follow five veteran femcees–MC Lyte, Monie Love, YoYo, The Lady of Rage and Smooth–as they relaunch their music careers and search for the next great female emcee. Co-produced by MC Lyte and Lemuel Plummer, the show will also feature Lil Mama, who just wrapped filming the TLC biopic.
Celebrity fitness trainer Jeanette Jenkins is also joining the BET family with Back to Me with Jeanette Jenkins. Similar to other weight loss shows, Jeanette will hand-pick two subjects each week and transform their lives and bodies through a personalized plan. At the end of each episode, each subject will be empowered to “tap into their greatness-resulting in a much improved mind, body and spirit.”
Both are set to premiere later this year.
