Alicia Keys supports her fellow artists, especially Rihanna, according to her latest interview with UK ‘s Eastern Standard magazine. The “Fire We Make” singer talked about motherhood, Michelle Obama and shouted out celebrities whose private life is just as public as her music.
“I’m proud of Rihanna,” she says. “Because it’s not easy to stand up in this crazy world and make it and keep going and try new things. And find your way through it.”
She also wished the best for other younger artists and hope that they don’t fall into the evils of the “crazy business.”
“It’s such a tricky, crazy business, and when people are a little bit younger than me, I’m always hoping that their soul is good because it can be such a soulless space.”
The full interview releases on Friday, June 14. –Desire Thompson
