The music group best known for teaching the world that girls talk too and why we shouldn’t chase waterfalls is set to perform this summer. TLC’s surviving members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas are set to perform at the Mixtape Festival 2013 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
According to Rap-Up, the R&B duo will take the stage during the two-day festival at Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. T-Boz and Chilli last major gigs came in 2011 on an episode of American Idol and in 2008 at the BET Awards.
The two also have their hands full with upcoming VH1 biopic, Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story, where the music vets serve as consultants and executive producers. The made-for-TV film stars Keke Palmer as Chilli, Drew Sidora as T-Boz, and Lil Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
They plan to release an album that is expected to dropped in 2013.– D.J. Larsen
