Life is good for number one draft pick Brittney Griner. According to her sports agent Lindsay Kagawa Colas, the 6’8 prodigy just signed an exclusive endorsement deal with Nike. Griner described the deal as “big time” to USA Today Sports, but no details have been released as of yet. This month, the Phoenix Mercury signee will graduate from Baylor University before starting the next WNBA season.
The basketball player, who also made headlines for addressing her sexuality, is still in awe of her success.
“It’s humbling, it’s a true honor to be a part of this league. It’s a dream come true. I feel like a little kid in Disney World for the first time,” Griner said during the WNBA draft press conference.
