Our hair is our crown and glory, but what if what we’re putting in it is jeopardizing our skin? Women of color tend to be burdened with the responsibility of moisturizing our tresses often. All of those oils and gels may make their way onto our skin and cause a breakout (or two), especially around the hairline.
Break the cycle: Get into the habit of washing your face after you’ve perfected your ‘do. After you’ve got a clean canvas then you can proceed to make up your face.
Suffering from the dreaded “bacne”? Try rinsing the conditioner out of your hair before you wash your body. We tend to let the conditioner hang out in our hair until we shut the water off, but conditioner residue can invade your pores after you rinse.
