Solange Knowles is finally giving us what we’ve been waiting for–music.
While Beyonce and Jay-Z headed to Philly for the Made in America festival, lil’ sis Sol-Baby jetted to South Africa to film the visuals for upcoming comeback track “Losing You.” Although recent years have made the younger Knowles a fashion “It” girl in our eyes, she’s ready to reclaim our hearts with this “stylized documentary.”
The 26-year-old tells The Sunday Times, “The locations for my video will largely be inspired by the color in the architecture and townships around here. We’ll just take a camera and see what happens,” she explained. She and described the single itself as “eclectic with ’80s references and African percussion influences.”
And don’t think just because she’s picked up the mic again that she’ll lose her incredible fashion presence. Photos from the behind the scenes captured a vibrant Solange in beautiful, ethnic prints and bright colors.
Her highly anticipated single “Losing You” and its accompanying vid will surface in October. Also, be on the lookout for her November 2012 ELLE South Africa cover.
