“Luckliy I have that thing where my personal world and my professional world are intertwined,” explains Jones. “I’m friends with all the people I work with on Parks and Rec. And my writing partner is my best friend. So when I go back to Parks and Rec, I don’t have to think, Ach, I’ve got to go back to my job. I get to go play and be stupid with my friends.”
Her political stance and support for Obama is something else Jones is happy about. She also makes sure that she doesn’t do too much of an endorsement; because it can also hurt in the end. “’I absolutely am. Anything I can do,” she said, adding: “I feel like there is this weird thing where celebrity involvement in political campaigns kind of goes together like peanut butter and chocolate. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. I wouldn’t overexpose myself in the name of the President; I just want to do what I can to help.”
Jones talks more about her love for Kate Moss, respect for John Travolta, and her new film with actor Nick Frost titled Cuban Fury, which requires tons of hot, steamy salsa lessons. Is there anything she can’t do?–Desire Thompson
