“[Omarosa] Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date,” Duncan’s rep also said in a statement.
During the near fatal incident in July, Omarosa had used CPR she learned during tennis classes 20 years ago to resuscitate Michael. “If you are with someone you love, you need to be able to resuscitate them,” she recently told the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
TMZ reports that the couple was to wed in January, revealing that sources close to them said that they “kept the engagement a secret from the media, only telling very close friends and family about the pending nuptials.”
Others close to Michael have also expressed their grief. Fellow Green Mile co-star Tom Hanks told E!, “I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike. He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned.”
