Hip-Hop Violinist Miri Ben-Ari Performs for President Obama

Hip-hop’s favorite violinist supported America’s favorite president in song.

On June 25, Miri Ben-Ari opened up a fundraiser for President Barack Obama at the Boston Symphony Hall. She played “Symphony of Brotherhood,” which samples Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, for over 1,800 people.

The Israeli musician/producer–well known for her contributions to Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity,” Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’” and a host of early Kanye West songs–is supporting the 44th President’s re-election campaign.

“I came here with a violin and a dream,” she told The Jerusalem Post. “I was pursuing the American dream. I believe that President Obama is the only one in this race with a vision for…protecting and keeping this dream.” –Stacy-Ann Ellis
