Greg Rubar. Maybe you’ve heard of him. If not, then you definitely don’t know that his hard work as a waiter paid off in the form of a $5,000 tip. Yep! A pair of regular customers dined at D’Amico’s, ate a $27 meal and left the waiter five stacks.
Recently, Rubar–who has worked at the Houston restaurant for 16 years–fell on some tough times. He lost his car in a storm and was taking cabs and buses to travel to and from work. Brina D’Amico Donaldson, co-owner of the eat-in spot, says the lucky guy is truly deservant of the cash.
“He’s an incredibly hard worker. He would work every shift if we would let him,” say tells MSNBC.
