Islamic protests have rung loudly, halting any goo-gooing over Lady Gaga from happening in Indonesia. The “Born This Way” singer was scheduled to perform in Jakarta next month to a sold out crowd, but protestors believe her “satanic lyrics” threaten to “destroy the children’s sense of morality.”
According to Times, the Anti-Gaga Indonesians will even attempt to stop Gaga at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, saying, “She had better not dare spread her satanic faith in this country.”
However, the raunchy star is used to stirring controversy. Since kicking off the Asian leg of her “Born This Way Ball” Tour, conservative and religious groups have prohibited minors from attending her concerts on account of her scantily clad costumes.
Other celebs, such as Beyoncé, Russell Brand and Paris Hilton, have been subject to the same treatment, blocked from expressing their artistry on foreign soil.
