Rihanna Explains Her Chris Brown Collaborations, Wants Fans to Unite

If there was ever any doubt about how Rihanna and Chris Brown feel about each other, she definitely made it clear this morning on the Ryan Seacrest Show.

“The the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown,” the Talk That Talk songstress said when she called Seacrest on KIIS FM to discuss why she collaborated double-time with her ex-lover.

“I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really made sense to do the record, despite everything else.”

She also admitted that she thought about other rappers for the risqué collaboration but turned to Breezy to ditch a formula she’s done many times. As a gift in return, CB offered his “Turn Up The Music” for RihRih to remix. The motivation to release the tracks, she said, was for the fans.

“We did the tracks so that our fans could come together. There shouldn’t be a divide,” the Barbados native said. “It’s music and it’s innocent.”
