Every occasion calls for a look. How many times have we heard parents and grandparents talking about their era, when even breakfast was an event to dress? This is the case on Mad Men and should be the case in real life. Being over-dressed is subjective, but standing out as a style maven is absolutely something that we can learn from Mad Men. Betty Draper and Joan Harris never have a hair out of place. Pete Campbell and Roger Sterling don’t either for that matter. If we’ve learned nothing from the ad pitches that Draper delivered to perspective clients, we’ve learned that presentation is everything. Need more convincing? Janie Bryant, costume designer for Mad Men, has designed two Mad Men capsule collections for Banana Republic to get fans dressing their best.
