When did cutting all your hair off become a cry for help. I guess it is better to have a head of weave at 3 because your mother thinks you don't have good hair or you should have long hair.
A cry for help is gluing in tracks that you know will eventually leave you bald or wearing synthetic lace fronts as if we believe it is your hair. Whew. Gender politics and how women should look has in a bind now.

Is it a cry for help that many black girls in particular cannot swim nor do they exercise because they don't want to mess their hair up? I am just saying.

People have fits when these kids do anything because of the latest rash of child stars gone wrong. Wil and Jada have more than proved their parenting skills over and over. They didn't hold her down and shave her head as in abuse and she always has a new hairstyle per her song "Whip My Hair". The song is not about length or look. It's about being yourself especially if you are a girl. No negativity. The only thing I take issue with at all is the fact that most parents don't teach children how to speak to adults and it results in her calling Oprah "Girrrrl" in stead of Miss Winfrey or Miss Oprah. She's not eve a 10th as badly behaving as the little tiny girls on Toddlers and tiaras. Never saw her booty dancing in a tummy-less Shirly temple costume. Leave them be. So far so good, strong Black family.

She is OK. I was the same way when I was a kid. I liked to dress & wear my hair a little to the left and my parents were open and gave me free reign. It wasn't rebellion & I wasn't confused. I havecalways felt very self-aware and self-assured. Although I have a straight laced career as a university administrator & instructor I still rock an individual yet professional look. The only thing Willow & I suffer from is that we think we are hot to death! :-)
