Burberry is adding lots of color to its spring line and we like what we see so far. Infused with African and Indian prints, the label known for khaki and plaid has stepped all the way out of the Burberry box with the Prorsum Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
The influence of African weaving is evident in the detailing of the line’s most vibrant trenches. One coat brings together woven shades of black, orange, and yellow for a classic stand-out piece, while an olive-colored jacket features a collar made of beads in shades of purple and blue. Even the detailing on the belts and clutches gives an exotic safari feel, fusing everything from crochet, to carving, braiding, and printing.
The Prorsum line also features a sky-blue leather trench with horn buttons and dresses and pleated skirts that take you back to the khaki colors the designer is known for, but with a much edgier feel. With prices ranging from $2,995 to $8,000 in the Ready-to-Wear Collection, the only question is, are you ready to buy?
