The Obamas, naturally, have the support of good fashion. In the past four years, Michelle Obama has established herself as a stylish commander-in-chic, but designers are rally behind the politics, too.
Next month a stylish benefit, Runway to Win, will be hosted by Scarlett Johansson and feature clothes and accessories donated by Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Rachel Roy, Alexander Wang, Diane von Furstenberg and more. According to ELLE, the profits from the initiative–launching Thursday, Jan 12–will be given directly to the Obama-Biden campaign through the Obama Victory Fund.
As expected, there are a few, pro-Obama designers (Donna Karan, included) who’ve excluded themselves, so they don’t alienate Republican voters.
