Miss Black Arkansas, Keenya Hoffmaier, a few Vixens and some dapper gentlemen gathered together at the swank Nectar Wine Bar in Harlem to celebrate the re-launch of non-profit organization Y.U.N.G Harlem. The organization is composed of six industry professionals Tiffany Bender, Alize Beal, Keisean Marshall, Chantell Jackson, Donovan Wooley, and Jessie Wilson who have made it their mission to provide a positive escape to inner city youth through the arts, education and entrepreneurship.
“Y.U.N.G. Harlem’s mission is to end the violence among our youth. Through events, we aim to build a space in the community that allows students to voice their knowledge , become socially responsible , and develop strong community obligation.”
In today’s society, it’s great to see positive movements such as Y.U.N.G Harlem who has made their mission to offer the next generation guidance into becoming our future artists, attorneys and CEO’s. The event, sponsored by OPI, Pop Chips, Nectar Wine Bar, Plane Boys Society, Black Enterprise Magazine and The Source Magazine, provided a great plateau to raise awareness that there are organizations that care and want to see our youth aim for a brighter tomorrow. Gathered around in a great ambiance with the DJ spinning great hits we toasted to the future of the organization. We look forward to seeing what Y.U.N.G Harlem will do in the future and will continue to support their great movement.
