VV: Let’s talk nail colors. What colors are best to ring in the New Year?

Lavette: There are so many great brands with amazing colors. But, you should get a color with glitter. It’s fun and happy.

VV: What are the best ways to avoid looking too overdone?
Lavette: I would pick one thing to concentrate on. Don’t do a bold lip with super long lashes, and bold eyes. Do a strong eye or lip—not both.

VV: Which hairstyles are best for NYE?
Lavette: It really depends on the shape of your face. If you have a round face, you’ll want a style with height. A ponytail with a bang, or a slenderizing hairstyle will work. If you have a square face, you’ll want to soften your jawline. A bob with layers around the face or a precision cut is perfect. If you have an oval-shaped face, any hairstyle will work.  Up, down, short, long anything works. And finally, if you have a long face, I’d try a ponytail with a bang, as well.
