@Kris....I have to agree with you wholeheartedly (especially about the superficial men with the weave). I've been natural for 7 yrs and it fathems me how the difference in a hairstyle can bring about different attention.

I totally agree. I'm team natural and team weave. Between being the two, I can change my hair to any style that I like. The weave brings more attention from superficial men, and the natural hair brings more attention from women and men that are to old for me (I'm 25, they are 50s). It saddens me that we as Black people still live under the Willie Lynch system that was established during slavery. There is no need to use our differences to separate us! We need unity!

I'm natural too but I've relaxed my hair and worn weaves before and it hasn't changed who I am in life. My hair style doesn't define me, but I do know it does influence how other ppl perceive me. When I have a weave I tend to attract more shallow men than when I wear my hair natural. That's just what I've noticed and it is what it is. Ppl take hair too seriously. I prefer to just have fun with my hair.

I am natural but I will never rule out a relaxer or weave. I am person who loves to change my hair constantly so it's more about how I feel as oppose to what's the trend. I've had every hairstyle at least once, even locs like ten years ago before the phenomena.
