I absolutely LOVE the video, even though I can’t relate to it. Definitely one of her best ones yet. And Nicole, this article is amazing!! Really!! THIS!!—–> “There are the good girls who never even imagine being alone with a guy at that age (let alone smoking a shotgun with him), but then there are the instinctively wild badasses who aren’t afraid to bask in the looming darkness of love. My first love. Hmmm….. He’s pretty much nonexsistant. I haven’t been lucky enough to experience it. I’m only 24, but not getting any younger. It seems like everyone has someone. I think that when actively look for love, you’re less likely to find it. I’ve trying to focus on relationships with my family and friends, school, and of course my future career. While doing this I will CASUALLY look for love. I never got to experience “young love”, but I damn sure will experience love.

WOW!!!! First let me start by saying how well written this piece is! I just seen Rhiannas video a couple days ago and I guess it never striked me to think of yourself in that same setting, until I read this!!!!! This actually made me think of my first relationship and how it too consumed my every being. The crazy things I’d see my friends do in highschool over the boy they loved I promised to NEVER do. Until I met my first love!! It’s seriously like a drug tried for the first time. It becomes something you can’t live without!!! Knowing it’s bad for, you will find all reasons to stay addicted!!! I could go on and on . . . But I won’t . To the woman who wrote this, I wish u most success in ur writing career!!! You will soon find love full of hope!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

This was an AMAZING video and even more amazing article.

When I first watched the video I envisioned myself in the video with my “first love” and when it was over I had to re-watch to relive the pain. I would crawl in my “cave” and write all of my pains down in hopes to make the pain go away. It started as “the high school love” and ended as the “the college nightmare”. Indeed, a lesson well learned.

I will disagree that I don’t ever want to have all “the bad” back because the bad revitalized me to be better. Still growing and learning today, I am more than positive that “the good” will be even better with the next.

I found love when I was in high school. I was head over HILLS for him. Couldnt start my day off without speaking to him first thing in the morning. That “teenage love” is real and addictive. I feel as though alot of people go through it but never really recovery, as Rihana showed in her video. Personally, I feel Nicole descibed that feeling perfectly in her article. She says, ” but just as an addict will always feel the sting of their last high, a person who hangs that dangerously off the cliff of love will always chase the feeling of falling.” Today I still am that addict.

I had a flashback when after reading this. I can truly relate to this. I remember my first love. I just knew we would always be together. When we weren’t together, he was all I thought about. We had our ups and downs like any other couple. Eventually we grew apart but at the end of the day, I knew it was real love. I believe a good lesson came from this love experience.

And to be honest, I still have love for him. I wouldn’t change that “young love” for anything. But now that I am older, I am just patiently waiting for the right one to come sweep me off my feet.

I kno exactly what ur talking about. I didnt find love until I got to college. I planned everything I did around him. He would fxck up all the time and i would take him back. It got ti the point that he would say jump I would say how high. I then realized that, that was unhealthy. I removed myself from the situation and now I’m doing what makes me happy.
