[Laughs] Moving along, how are things with you ladies intervening in T.O.’s love life this season?
Kita: There’s a difference between him dating someone and him having experiences with sleeping with women. He’s slept with a lot of women, but he hasn’t dated a chick.
Monique: He comes to us with advice. I mean, he could look at my love life, with me just being with my husband and know that there’s been a whole lot of highs and lows. Kita and Terrell knew me before I met my husband. They’ve seen me date, they’ve seen me at a point where I was in love with my husband and seen me at a point where I didn’t love him that much and then they see us get married and have kids. Terrell comes to the both us, and he and Kita can relate on a level because they’re both still single.
Any new developments with him and Kari that we should know about?
Kita: You’ll see what happens on the show. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Kari. She’s a smart girl, she’s a very strong-minded individual and she will speak her mind. I don’t have any problem because my brother is married to a white woman. I would love for Terrell to fall in love with a woman who understands him, and I just think a black woman would understand him a little bit better.
Call it what you want to call it; we’re just going to keep it real. We asked Kari about Kool-Aid, and she didn’t know what Kool-Aid was. I asked Kari about fried bologna sandwiches, and she didn’t know what it was all about. The difference is in culture, and that’s okay. There’s no rich, successful, powerful man out there who will turn down tits and ass, no matter what color. But what we will say is, Terrell is a very loving, caring, simple, goofy and corny man.
What celebrity would you send T.O. out on a date with if you could?
Kita: Halle Berry. She ain’t getting it right in love either, and they’re both broken. They have issues when it comes to love and insecurities. We’re thinking that maybe they’re the two halves that need to be a whole.
Monique: Yes, I agree, and he loves Halle Berry.
Do you get styled for the show, or is it your own everyday style?
Kita: We don’t get Kim Kardashian checks yet, so we had to be very creative because you can’t wear the same thing every day. I don’t have a husband to supply my needs and Mo’s husband is not doing that. We had to go to [the creative team] and ask for a budget for our wardrobe. They gave us a little itty-bitty one, but little is better than none. But as far as styling goes, we had help this year with Ben Wills. Also, we’re strategically teaming up our Define Your Pretty brand with Poparazzi accessories.
