From UPTOWN–First Lady Michelle Obama is no stranger to awe-inspiring fashion and having a style of her own. That is why she is teaming up with Tim Gunn (Project Runway) to honor some of the nation’s top designers.
She will host a luncheon later today to honor the winners of the 2011 National Design Awards presented by the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City. The honorees are not limited to fashion but also designers that specialize in creating popular computer fonts and Swiffer floor-cleaning products. The event will take place at the White House.
