Iman has certainly been doing her fair share of charitable events lately. The former top model is now lending a hand to the Save the Children fund to help youth affected by the drought and famine in Somalia.
In an effort to raise money, Iman has teamed with Modelinia global media fund to produce the Beautiful Friends Forever Bracelet by nOir jewelry. A launch party was held September 7 at the Dream Hotel in New York City.
“The second Iman called me I was on board. I’ve been to the Horn of Africa multiple times and it’s just heartbreaking to see what’s happening. Indeed this is the worst famine we’ve seen in 60 years; over 12 million people have been affected and more than 29,000 children under the age of five have died,” said fashion icon, Christy Turlington.
Famed fashion models Christy Turlington, Doutzen Kroes, Coco Rocha, Karlie Kloss, Hilary Rhoda, Lily Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn and many more were in attendance.
“As a mother I was eager to join the cause and Iman is such an inspiration, I’m so excited to work with her to bring awareness to the crisis,” Dunn commented.
The $35 bracelets design incorporates the Somalian Flag and are on sale now. Proceeds will benefit Save the Children.
