The newspapers are full of adults dating underage minors. This is illegal and wrong. This article points out the advantages but not the disadvantages. 1) Older men know game. They will take advantage of the naivety and inexperience of a young woman to her disadvantage and leave her devastated as well as possibly pregnant and/or with an STD. They will also date a woman without revealing their true status: married, separated, bi-sexual, HIV-positive, etc. 2) Older men have been there and done that. They will discourage and younger woman from enjoying her youth and her time to explore her possibilities. 3) Older men are more entrenched in their own way of life. They are not interested in learning anything new and will use their age/experience to dictate how the younger woman should dress, eat, think, etc. She will be sitting home on weekends, because that's the stage of life he's in. 4) Older men have been burned by other relationships, or view themselves as the victim in previous breakups, even if the breakup ended because they were abusive or unfaithful. They will visit the resentments from prior relationships upon the unsuspecting younger woman, and woe be unto her, if she does/says/appears to resemble anything he couldn't deal with before. Older men should be mentors, teachers, advisers. They should leave the young people to grow and develop at their own pace. Don't rob the young of their youth. You had yours. He is settled, knows who he is and what he wants. Hopefully, is done playing games. The down side is if he is none of these things. Like the saying says, "there's no fool like an old fool." And let's not forget, erectile dysfunction. At some point, most men if not all will experience this. I wouldn't want to suffer through and with anyone longterm when I am young and vibrant.
