To be honest her acting skills were questionable, however we grew to love “Val.” There are a great deal of other Black actresses whom have better skills and could use the employment. Stacey I have to agree with YOURSOLAME above. I personally think she’s Bi-polar based on the blogs describing her outbursts on the set. I am sure they came to a mutual agreement and let her put this statement out to save face. Her lost could be Gabrielle Union, Taraj, Zoe , Kerry Washington, Tichia Campbell, and a host of other better skilled gain.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this show. Although I hate to see Stacey/Val go, I also respect what she have to do. There are a pool of black actress that could play that role. I would hope VH1 really considered them all, but My number one choice would me NIA LONG becuase I think she could convincingly become Val. although Sanaa, Vivica, Gabriell may be a bit more over the top. I love them all, but………………….

I am so sad to see Stacey Dash leave the show. I am not sure it is the kid situation that made her leave though… If the reason that she is leaving the show, something other than her children, than I wish she or whomever would have been honest. Regardless, if they want to replace Val, I’m sure they could cast several other women such as Nia Long, Gabrielle Union or Vivica Fox.
