The question is "should you hold him down"? Hmmm, so many situations/variables to that question. 1. What was the offense? (any rape, offenses against kids, sexual misconduct) I say heck NO. I do not care what he states is the "truth" that is just unhealthy and speaks to a larger mental health problem, and who could ever trust a guy like that to be in your home, and neighborhood..I couldn't...so on that I say . NAW!!! 2. How long is he going to be locked up? If were talking about 2 or three years, and hear me....YOU ALL HAD A STABLE RELATIONSHIP, A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOALS YOU ALL WERE PROGRESSING TOWARDS, BEFORE HE GOT LOCKED UP...Then you might want to stick it out! If you don't that is your perogative too, all ladies must decide what is going to benefit their mindy, body, and soul growth above any dude. 3. Is he a returning in and out of jail type of guy? NO WAY HE IS SHOWING YOU, HE IS GOING TO GET LOCKED UP AGAIN..HE IS BEING HONEST BY SHOWING YOU...LOOK I COME IN AND OUT, OVER AND OVER AGAIN... 4. Do you have kids together? Guess what, that doesn't get a free "yeah, I'mmma hold you down pass" either. Because if I love you and the relationship you have with your kids, AND you have been actively involved in their lives when you were out in the world. Then as a mom (all moms do not agree with this and that is their right)..Then as a mom, I will make sure they stay in contact with you and the rest of your side of the family. No negative talk about daddy though. Some women are married to 'LIFERS"...It really depends on the woman, her state of mind, and where her life is headed with or without him... He was sentence to 15yrs, but I highly doubt if he's going to do the whole 15. I love him I really do but it has been hard to maintain a jail house relationship. I think he loves me. I don't know. I keep in contact with him. He treated me very well! Made me really feel like the special lady I am. So it was really hard when he went to jail. We had our share of problems before he went to jail. Which makes me hesitant about a continuing relationship when he comes home. I sit here and think why put my life on hold for the possibilty he may cheat again? Or he may go back to jail? Although he treated me well infidelity was a huge problem! Yes men in jail are smooth talkers and they use all the game to keep you locked in. I got over putting my life on hold for him but I still feel guilty. a huge problem I have a boyfriend who went to jail about 3yrs ago.
