Exclusive Interview With Vibe Vixen

VIBE caught up with our favorite say-all, do-all duo, Ice-T & Coco, for some quick jabber about their new E! reality show, how to keep your wedlock sex in check, and whether we should judge those with amplified backsides.

From just looking at you guys I’d guess a reality show was coming at some point.
Ice T: (Laughs) We’ve been getting offered reality TB shows for the past 10 years. But, I was very skeptical of it. I didn’t want to risk my relationship doing a reality show because a lot of times it didn’t work out for people. But E! came with a good outline, something simple, made sure that it was going to be positive and the time was right so we just said, ‘Why the hell not?’ We’re very happy with the outcome. The shows are fun, not train-wreck television though.

How about you Coco? Did you have any doubts at all or did you say, ‘Hell yes,’ I want to jump on?
Coco: No, we’ve been against it for quite some time because when reality shows first came out, it was all about drama and throwing coffee in each other’s faces and fighting and all that crazy stuff so we weren’t about that. So we just no for a long time until they said, this is not going to be that type of show. We’re actually breaking a trend here. This is going to be the first reality show where you’re not going to see any fighting. It’s all comedy, family and love.

Ice T: Kinda like…if there have been any shows that have been similar, yeah the Osbornes, Run’s House, stuff like that.

Okay, gotcha. I think people want your life to be a sex circus, but in fact you guys have your hands in a lot of business deals, right?
Ice T: Yeah, the show is more about the hustle, it’s more about what my life entails day to day, what Coco’s life entails and how she runs it and how she operates and bounce—you know, it’s not shoe shopping all day long, it’s like you got to work, work, work, work, work and then you have a break and then somebody takes a picture of you and then they go ‘Oh that’s your life,’ the picture, not the work.

The Couple Speaks About Their New Reality Show

True. But really now, how can I have a marriage that comes with a sex circus of a love life?
Ice T: Marry somebody that turns you the fuck on.

Coco: Don’t think that you’re going to turn them into some sexual demon when you get married. They have to already be the sexual demon beforehand.

Ice T: But wait for your ultimate sexual partner, try that one. That’s a good start. If you start with that and keep that alive, hopefully the person isn’t an idiot and shit doesn’t go wrong. One of the things that help messes up a sex life is just basic stress in the relationship though. If you have a stressful relationship there‘s not going to be sex.

Duly noted. People think you have to try all these crazy things after some years in marriage just to keep it exciting or is it all mental games?

Ice T: You do. That’s part of the fun… trying things out.

Coco: Trying things out. And you don’t have to do it a second time. You just try it once to see if you two connect on that same level. And if it does, your sex life just becomes spicier.

Ice T: It takes you to another level. Trying new things. There’s nothing wrong with it. Some you don’t do on a date. When you’re on a date, you’re doing one count. Now when you’re in you can say, “Well damn, I always wanted to try this” or “I never thought about this” So maybe I can bring this up.

All Black Everything

That makes sense. Now Coco you’re very open about your breast implants, but have an all natural rear. How do you feel about chicks getting more butt jobs than boobs?
Coco: I think you should be open to the fact if you’re trying something or if you’re thinking about getting that procedure done to make you happy. I think I’m all for it. I’m an open book and I already have boob implants, so what’s the deal there. I think it’s a new day in age. Now it’s a trend to get something done to your body. It’s out in the open, it’s not hush/hush, so you shouldn’t be afraid to say it. I really support the fact that it’s your body, do whatever you want with it because you live this life and you’re sort of unhappy about things. So if the body part is bothering you, why not fix it if you have the time and the money.

Ice T: And from a guy’s perspective, you have to remember that anything that you do to yourself to make you look good, hopefully also feels good. I remember there was a point in time where guys were like okay girls have boob implants but you would touch them and it would be a strange thing. Now guys touch so many boob implants they’re used to it. But now when you start, adding ass implants, butt implants…

Coco: I want to force my opinion there. Like I said, I’m not against plastic surgery but me going through surgery, I know what it feels like. And I’m kind of against the fact that you should get butt implants because one thing that you’re missing out here, is that when you have boobs, you’re not sitting on you boobs 24-7, when you get butt implants, you’re sitting on your butt for most of the day.  You have to think about that. I’m so worried about how I move my boobs here and there. I have to wear a sports bra when I go to the gym. You can’t jiggle all the time, you might jiggle them out of place. Think about that as far as the butt thing goes because they may jiggle out of place and you might not be able to fix it. I hear some really horror stories about the booty thing and I know I might sound hypocritical to do your boobs and not your butt. But, it’s so unnatural. I mean you’re not touching the chest area all that much, you’re not walking all on the chest area all that much. You do a lot with the butt.

Ice T: Yeah I do a lot with the butt (laughs).
